By logging in to the TALK-A-ROO Admin Portal, you agree to the following terms, put in place to protect the personal data of kindergarten students, teachers, and staff under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and to comply with the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA 10175).
1. Acceptable Use
- Use this portal only for legitimate school administration duties — managing sections, staff accounts, students, and app content.
- Access student and staff data only as needed to perform your administrative role, not out of personal curiosity or for any unrelated purpose.
- Provision new teacher and student accounts only for verified, currently enrolled staff and students of the school.
2. Data Privacy (RA 10173)
- Student names, nicknames, and pronunciation-practice results are personal data collected with parent/guardian consent through the school's enrollment process. As an administrator with school-wide access, you carry the greatest responsibility for keeping this data confidential.
- Do not copy, screenshot, export, print, or share any student or staff data outside this portal, except as required for official school reporting.
- Do not disclose student or staff data to any third party — including on social media or messaging apps — or store it on personal devices not authorized by the school.
- Most students are minors, so treat every name, score, and recording as sensitive information at all times, and give teacher accounts access only to the sections they actually handle.
3. Account Security & Cybercrime Prevention (RA 10175)
- Keep your login credentials strictly confidential — never share your admin password with teachers, students, or parents.
- Logging in using another admin's or teacher's account, or letting someone else use yours, may constitute unauthorized access under RA 10175 and is strictly prohibited.
- Deactivate or remove accounts for staff who leave the school promptly, to prevent unauthorized access after their tenure ends.
- Report any suspected unauthorized access, data breach, lost device, or compromised password immediately.
4. Consequences of Violation
Violating these terms may result in suspension or termination of your portal access, referral to school leadership for disciplinary action, and — where applicable — liability under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
